Split! – General Questions

• Q - How does Split! work?

• A – When applied to any surface, Split! “splits” whatever is on that surface into microscopic particles. The “splitted” material will never return to its original state. You simply spray Split! on a surface, agitate and pick up using a cloth, mop, or machine. You now have a surface residue free of biofilm with a zero ATP reading.

• Q – Can you explain the issue why residue causes cleaning problems, and how Split! solves those problems?

• A – All detergent cleaners leave residue. It can be residual film on a desk or a sticky surface on a floor. The residue will attract more soil to its surface because that’s what a cleaner does. But in this case, it is an unintended problem that creates build-up the more you clean with detergents. It also attracts bacteria as a feeding and breeding ground. Split! will remove all the residue left from the detergent based cleaners used and leave no residue because it is not a detergent.

• Q - Why haven’t I heard of Non-Detergent Cleaners before?

• A – Multiple reasons! Split! is a patented product. Manufacturers of detergent based cleaners do very well selling their products. Also, once you start cleaning with a non-detergent, you cannot go back to a detergent cleaner, or you go back to the old cycle of leaving residue on all your surfaces again.

• Q - There are some cleaning systems that “charge” the water, claiming low residue cleaning. How do those compare to Split!?

• A – Those systems do work when it comes to lower residue cleaning. The issue is, they do not clean very well. Even though Split! is green, safe, removes all residue while removing biofilm and leaving no residue, it is a tremendous cleaner that will bring grouts back to original, restore and clean carpet better than any product on the market, and clean any surface completely and thoroughly, again leaving no residue.

• Q- It seems that Split! could have many uses beyond the standard thinking of building cleaning along with carpet and floors. What other uses for Split! have you found?

• A - Our customers are our best resource for “out of the box” uses for Split! We have people using it for a laundry pre-spotter because its ability to remove any non-solid molecular structured soil like blood. It is being used as a specialty cleaner in industry because of its ability to “split” oil-based soil and carbon black. This list could get very long. Our suggestion is, try it. We can remove mold up to plus 98%. We “split” and remove all odor causing sources.

• Q – What doesn’t Split! clean?

• A – Split! cleans all non-solid molecular structure soils as mentioned above. Which means it cannot clean or attack solid molecular structured cleaning problems like lime scale and rust. But, this is a good thing. Split! will not attack a rubber floor so you can clean the rubber floor thoroughly, removing stains and dirt without damaging the floor. This goes for any synthetic type of rubber style floor. You can clean any finished floors without attacking the finish because finish is a solid molecular structure.

• Q – What is Green Seal and why is that important?

• A – Green Seal is an agency, started in 1989 to standardize and publish requirements along with setting protocol for what is truly “Green” or not. These standards that they have set are recognized internationally, and to be certified means to have met those standards. To learn more: www.greenseal.org

• Q – What products in Split! are Green Seal Certified?

• A – All three products, the Restorative Cleaner (Purple label), the Non-Detergent Cleaner (Green label), and the Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner (Blue label) are Green Seal Certified at all the published dilution ratios.

• Q - Can you explain what Outgassing and Offgassing is?

• A - An example of Outgassing is when odors are trapped in a soil/residue filled grout line. When you use Split! to clean that grout line, the trapped odor is free to release into the air and you smell it - such as a uric acid odor. Offgassing is many times used for the same example but the real use of the word is more like the odor coming from a new car in the interior...it is Offgassing and that is what you are smelling.
